Performance artist Robert Metrick is the coordinator of the Time Arts, a program that mixes and matches artists from different disciplines. Sometimes performers on the same program may have affinities of style or subject and a live performance of a Dada sonata will play along on the same program with a `20s Dadaist film by Man Ray. Other times, random juxtapositions of disparate artists may create new artistic cross-currents as, say, an improvisational musical ensemble will fill in the silence of a Charlie Chaplin film.
