Peter Thompson is a filmmaker and professor of photography at Columbia College Chicago. With his production company, Chicago Media Works, Thompson has directed long-term film projects concerning historic events in varied international locations. His films have been screened at the Museum of Modern Art, New York; the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; and broadcast on public television in Europe, Australia, and the United States. Thompson is the recipient of two Rockefeller Fellowships and seven Illinois Arts Council Fellowships.
