Nicholas Frank (born 1967) is curator at the Institute of Visual Arts (Inova) at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and a co-founder of the Milwaukee International. Frank s curating, artmaking, platforming, and writing activities have coalesced into an overall boundary-blurred discipline. His paintings can take narrative form, his writings become sculpture, and curating sometimes becomes performance.

Frank ran the Hermetic Gallery in Milwaukee from 1993 to 2001. His organized projects and artworks have been exhibited internationally, including at the Tate Modern, London; K lnischer Kunstverein, Cologne; the Swiss Institute, New York; Gavin Brown s Enterprise at Passerby, New York; Angstrom Gallery, Los Angeles; the Hyde Park Art Center, Chicago; Rowley Kennerk Gallery, Chicago; the Museum of Contemporary Art, Detroit; and the Milwaukee Art Museum; among others. He has written on art and other subjects for New Art Examiner, Purple, X-tra, Sculpture, and Artpapers
