Michael Hall is an independent curator based in Vienna since 2003. Hall founded Chicago Project Room in 1996 and served as co-director (with Daniel Hug) from 1998 2000. He also co-directed Chicago Project Room in Los Angeles from 2000 01.
Recent exhibitions curated by Hall include Waiting for the Ice Age, Galerie Georg Kargl, Vienna (2002); Brutal Ornamental, Galerie Kosak Hall GmbH, Vienna (2005); Autonomous Acts, K R Kunst im ffentlichen Raum GmbH (Art in Public Space), Vienna (2008); and Miete Strom Gas oder Brasilien Wax, INSTITUT im Museumsquartier, Vienna (2009).
Hall received an MFA in Photographic Theory from Cranbrook Academy of Art. He has had articles published in Camera Austria and Tema Celeste and edited a publication for the De Appel Museum, Amsterdam. </
