In 2000, Christine Kim arrived at the Studio Museum in Harlem where she served as Associate Curator and managed the Artist-in-Residence Program. At the Studio Museum, she organized the exhibitions Frequency (co-curated with Thelma Golden, 2005); Scratch: William Cordova, Michael Queensland and Marc Andre Robinson (2005); Figuratively: Dave McKenzie, Wangechi Mutu and William Villalongo (2004); and Black Belt (2003), among others. Kim has also guest curated a panoply of exhibitions and projects including Purloined (2001) at Artists Space, New York, and The Light Show (2000), as part of the Emerging Curators Series at Gale Gates Et Al, in Brooklyn. Kim has published essays on Jean-Michel Basquiat, Nam June Paik, Roy Lichtenstein, and David Smith. She received a BA from Connecticut College with a dual degree in Art History and French and a minor in Asian Studies. In 1997, she received an MA in Critical Theory and American Studies from New York University.</
