Barry Blinderman is an adjunct professor of art history at Illinois State University, Normal, where he has directed the University Galleries since 1987. Previously, he was the director of Sempahore Gallery, New York. He has curated exhibitions that included the works of Cindy Sherman, Jeanne Dunning, David Wojnarowicz, Nicholas Africano, Jane Dickson, and Alexis Rockman, among others. He has been the recipient of several National Endowment for the Arts Grants, Lannan Foundation Grants, and Illinois Arts Council Program Grants. Blinderman received a BA in art history from Boston University and an MA from the University of Pennsylvania.
