Originally born in Trinidad and Tobago, and educated in the United States, Todd Ayoung is a visual artist, arts educator, founding member of REPO-history, and was an active member of two other arts collectives: GODZILLA and Interim Sites. He has exhibited in Europe, Latin America, and throughout the United States and his work has been featured in a number of publications, including Afterimage, Third Text, Fredag, BOMB Magazine, Kyoto Journal, Art Journal, and Shifter Magazine. Ayoung serves as the Artist In Residence at New Roots Public Charter School, focusing on Social Equity and Environmental Justice, and is a trained facilitator for Talking Circles On Race and Racism, at the Multicultural Resource Center, both in Ithaca, NY. He is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Pratt Institute, where he teaches three-dimensional design and Interventionist Art: Strategies and Tactics, a graduate course at New York University.
