Thomas Kelley lectures at Harvard GSD, designs Graham Foundation exhibition
On February 5, Assistant Professor Thomas Kelley and Carrie Norman, who practice as Norman Kelley, will lecture at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. Titled “Things not as they are,” their talk will present work dealing with architecture and design’s relationship to translations in two and three dimensions.
Later that week, on February 7, Norman Kelley will speak at the opening of the Graham Foundation exhibition Arakawa and Madeline Gins: Eternal Gradient, which they designed. The exhibition presents work developed during the nearly fifty-year collaboration between Arakawa, an artist, and Gins, a poet and philosopher, especially a series of visionary architectural proposals from the 1980s.
